We had a pool built for us in 2017 and I find that maintaining the proper chemical balance is rather complicated. This book basically confirms that, but is hardly useful unless you know almost nothing. What I was hoping for was a technically proficient writer who explained the subtleties and complications. The little booklet (I thought it was a book, but it's actually a pamphlet with about 20 pages of well-spaced-out text. Not worth returning to Amazon, but not worth buying either.Product details

Being completely new to pool ownership/maintenance after buying a house that had an above-ground pool, I was looking for a resource that would explain all the moving parts and give me an idea of how everything is supposed to work. While there was some good information, I only found myself with more questions than answers after reading this booklet.
Great general information book, easy & quick to read. Basic points but a good foundation. Good explanation of types of chemicals and How to fight algie.
A very practical book; sure helped maintain my pool!
Not enough information on chlorine, cya etc. you will need more than this to maintain your pool.

Excellent, small but concise. I downloaded this onto my kindle app and have found the information in it invaluable. Explains everything clearly without too much preamble. I have used the help it gives in cleaning filters, treating the pool with various chemicals to help maintain it in good order and advice given in other aeas. I would recommend it.
