very helpful book.
last year i was pulled out of my classroom to represent my state in writing. afterwards, my teacher challenged me to write a novel And i am. its a collection of stories by me. sso i decided to choose some prompts from this book and add some jazz to them. awesome book.
I thought this book would inspire my kids to write creatively.
But I find much of the content to be about useless things... TV (which in our house is limited), romance (which I prefer not to get my 7 year old girl focused on, thankyouverymuch), and other things that just don't fit our lifestyle.
I suppose for an "average" American family, this would maybe be a homerun. But for us, it just wasn't great. It was sadly a waste of money.
I love this book. My students respond really well to the prompts and are enthusiastically engaged in writing. What more can I ask for?

Great book came on time and exactly what I wanted.
I'm not in grade school anymore, but a lot of these prompts made me think of things I'd like to write! Well worth the paltry $2.95 I paid for it. If you're into prompts, and you want to get back to basics, get this book!
